A TYPICAL DAY AS A SENIOR HR ADVISOR MIGHT INCLUDE
Legal Services Support
Manage and execute HR-related legal support projects using sound judgment and discretion.
Collaborate with attorneys to ensure seamless project delivery, including delegation and deadline management.
Draft and maintain model HR/legal documents such as employee handbooks and severance agreements.
Perform initial legal research and develop work product under attorney direction.
Identify potential inconsistencies in advice and elevate them for resolution.
Manage the workflow of contract attorneys
Support and lead client Compliance Plan processes, including document review, meeting facilitation, compliance issue flagging, and drafting of reports and materials.
Track and manage incoming advice matters, assign to the appropriate attorney, and follow through to completion.
Draft preliminary versions of policies, guidance, or memoranda based on legal research.
Advice and Counsel Administrative Support
Triage client inquiries and initiate timely, responsive communication.
Maintain Firm resource libraries and ensure consistent use of templates and models.
Facilitate workflow between clients and attorneys, ensuring timely delivery of work product.
Stay informed of HR and legal developments and share insights internally.
Contribute to process improvements, including Compliance Plan optimization.
Business Development
· Monitor client satisfaction and proactively manage relationships.
· Identify opportunities to expand services such as audits, training, and policy reviews.
· Assist in developing proposals and compliance tools in collaboration with attorneys.
· Help promote the Firm’s value proposition to prospective and existing clients.

You will play a critical role in supporting the Firm’s Advice and Counsel Practice Group, managing projects from start to finish, conducting legal research, and preparing high-quality, client-facing deliverables. EDUCATION/TRAINING
Professional in Human Resources – California® (PHRca®) certification
Bachelor’s degree or higher
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
Eight years or more prior professional experience required in human resources, specifically including California wage and hour compliance, payroll, project management, and/or human resources operations experience
Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in client-facing HR work.
Strong understanding of California employment law and HR best practices.
Excellent writing, organizational, and project management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

We reasonably anticipate that the range for the position’s starting wage will be between $130,000–$170,000 annual salary, based on factors such as qualifications and experience
